Anti-Spam Policy

1. Our commitment

Klang AI AB ("Klang") does not advertise klang.ai, any of its subdomains, or any Klang product or service through unsolicited bulk email, and does not permit anyone else to do so on our behalf. We regard the sending of unsolicited bulk email as harmful to recipients, to the operators of the networks that carry it, and to our own reputation.

This policy is published so that recipients, mailbox providers, blocklist operators and our own staff can hold us to a stated standard.

2. Who this applies to

This policy binds every party that sends email referencing Klang or any Klang domain:

• Klang employees, founders and contractors
• Marketing, sales and communications staff acting in any capacity
• Agencies, consultants, resellers, affiliates and partners acting for or with Klang
• Any automated system, sequencer or sending platform operated by or for Klang

No exception is made for senior staff or founders, or for messages sent from an individual's own mailbox rather than a bulk platform. The technical route a message takes does not change whether it is spam.

3. Email we do send

• Transactional and service email to registered users — account, security, billing and product notifications relating to a service the recipient uses.
• Opt-in marketing email to people who have affirmatively asked to receive it. Consent is recorded, is never inferred from a purchase or a download alone, and is honoured when withdrawn.
• Replies and continuing correspondence with people who contacted us first.
• Individually written one-to-one email — a message composed for a specific named person and relevant to that person's stated work or interests, sent by an individual and not as part of a templated send to a list. Such messages identify the sender honestly, say why the recipient was contacted, and stop on request.

4. Practices we prohibit

• Sending bulk or templated email to recipients who have not asked to receive it
• Using purchased, rented, scraped, harvested or third-party-enriched address lists for any bulk send
• Mailing an address obtained for one purpose for an unrelated marketing purpose
• Falsified or misleading headers, sender identities or subject lines, including a Re: or Fwd: prefix on a message that is not a genuine reply
• Omitting a functioning unsubscribe mechanism from any bulk or repeated commercial send
• Continuing to mail an address after an opt-out, a hard bounce or a complaint
• Routing bulk sends through personal mailboxes or infrastructure in order to avoid platform controls, sending limits or unsubscribe requirements
• Advertising a Klang domain through any third party who does any of the above

5. Standards for every bulk message we send

• An accurate From address on a domain we control, and a subject line that describes the actual content
• A List-Unsubscribe header and a visible one-click unsubscribe link
• Opt-outs honoured immediately, and in all cases within 72 hours, across every system we operate
• Our legal name and postal address in the message
• Recipient lists reviewed and pruned of inactive and undeliverable addresses before each send
• Sending through a platform that maintains suppression lists and processes complaint feedback loops

6. Third parties and affiliates

Any agency, reseller, affiliate or partner that promotes Klang must comply with this policy as a condition of that relationship. We do not operate an affiliate programme that rewards volume of outbound email. Where we find that a third party has advertised a Klang domain through unsolicited bulk email, we require them to stop, and we end the relationship if they do not.

7. Reporting email that breaches this policy

If you receive email advertising Klang that you did not ask for, please report it to [email protected]. Forwarding the message with its full headers helps us trace the source.

We acknowledge reports within two business days and investigate each one. We will tell you what we found and what we did about it. Reports are welcome from anyone — recipients, mailbox providers, blocklist operators and network abuse desks alike — and you do not need to be a Klang customer to make one.

8. Enforcement

Breaches of this policy by staff are treated as a disciplinary matter. Breaches by a partner or affiliate end the relationship. Where a Klang customer uses our services to send unsolicited bulk email, we suspend the account under our Terms of Service.

Where a mistake on our part causes a Klang domain to be listed by a blocklist, we identify the cause, correct it, and say plainly what happened when we request removal.

9. Legal compliance

We comply with the Swedish Marketing Act (marknadsföringslagen 2008:486), the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the ePrivacy Directive, Japan's Act on Regulation of Transmission of Specified Electronic Mail (特定電子メール法), and the US CAN-SPAM Act, in each case as applicable to the recipient. Where a jurisdiction requires prior opt-in consent for commercial email, we obtain it. Where this policy is stricter than the applicable law, this policy applies.

10. Changes and contact

We update this page when our practices change, and the effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
